Åkers local heritage association will give new life to the old ridge cabin.
About the project
Åkers local heritage association's project idea is that the local heritage center's ridge cabin should be able to be used for the association's and village community's meetings and activities for the public. In order to create opportunities for activities, they will renovate the ridge cabin, which in its current condition cannot be used due to roof leak and other deficiencies.

The board's motivation
The local heritage center is an important gathering place for the residents of Åker. The ridge cabin enables smaller meetings under cover. It is precisely a new roof that is the prerequisite for the building's and the operation's continuation. A more traditional and original choice of materials and execution would be desirable. This would also give the project an educational value.
