That a kitchen that served 700 waffles in one evening can experience a bit of growing pains is not so strange. Time for a lift – for the venue and the community!
About the project
Stitch café, study circles, school disco, children's parties, and markets… In the Sockenhuset in Ödestugu, people of all ages gather, and as many as 6 associations meet here when it's meeting time. This means that the kitchen is used frequently, and popular events like Sommarkväll in Ödestugu put the kitchen to the test. To future-proof, it's time to develop! A renovation with an updated and functional kitchen will become a reality with the help of Leader support.

The board's motivation
The project strengthens local cooperation and engagement in a community that has turned the development in the area to the positive through solid and long-term work. A new kitchen in the sockenhuset will mean increased accessibility and improved conditions for all activities in the house. It contributes significantly to sustainability and development, not least for new target groups. The idea is well anchored in the community, and good collaboration forms the basis for a well-thought-out and thoroughly worked project.
