Local for embroidery business
Brobackens embroidery is scaling up to accommodate more customers.
About the project
Brobackens Brodyr AB has from the residence in Ödestugu invested in embroidery for profile clothing and horse products. Since the start, the customer base has grown. The embroidery lasts longer than printing and therefore becomes a more sustainable option which attracts many. Now they want to take the next step and have the project idea to invest in a location where they can develop and expand their business and receive customers. The plan is to be able to support themselves through the business.
The Leader support will go towards setting up an embroidery cottage (renovation of barn, a new embroidery machine, and furnishings for the new location).
From the application
”Thewhole point of embroidery is that it is more sustainable than printing, as it makes the garments last longer and contributes to fewer garments and textile products being replaced.”

The board's motivation
A small rural business with significant reach is strengthened by the planned investment and can thus continue to grow with the help of larger and more suitable premises. This creates conditions for increased employment in the countryside. Stock image sewing thread.
