About the project
Skillingaryd IS has the project idea to create a meeting place across generational boundaries by renovating its café with restrooms. In the café, they will offer homework help, where retirees and retired teachers can assist children and youth.
The design of the café is carefully planned so that the space works for, for example, wheelchair users and individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities – something that is important for the association.
The project is a piece of the puzzle in the large investment in Movalla IP, Movalla Arena 2030.

The board's motivation
With its nearly 125-year history, SIS is aiming offensively and creatively towards the future with a development project for the operations where the facility's performance is an important tool. The association wants to, as it is expressed, ”create something more for everyone.” A strong social engagement has characterized the operations for a long time. This will become even greater and clearer with the planned measures. A strong project management with well-thought-out strategies for sustainability, both environmentally and economically, in conjunction with volunteer resources, local business support, and collaboration with PRO and SPF is a strength for the project.
