About the project
Can Visingsö become a destination for wine lovers? Näs Jönsagård 6 and Bengtsgården Visingsö AB will find out. Their project idea: To establish a vineyard, as a complement to the organic vegetable cultivation that exists on the site today. Climate change poses new demands on farmers in the future, including regarding the choice of crops. Therefore, these two actors (the landowner and the tenant) choose to invest for the future. The hope is to create a destination with wine tastings and tours, and also to gain another leg to stand on for future generations.
The support will go to windbreaks, supports, irrigation, website and marketing as well as education and study visits.

”We want to implement the project as a preparation for the next generation, and see it as a way to meet climate change.”
They want to put Visingsö on the wine map.
They still don't look like much to the world. Small, in neat rows. Some reach up, higher than others. Soon they will survive their first winter on Visingsö.
– We start on a small scale, says Christina Lööv and looks out over the 750 plants that were planted in the ground during 2025.
We visited the vineyard in the autumn of 2025 and talked with the trio behind the project about the project idea and future plans.

The board's motivation
Visingsö vineyard is a future-oriented project supported by competent entrepreneurs. The goal is to sustainably develop the agricultural industry with a focus on increased tourism and strengthened employment on the island. This strengthens the business climate and the conditions for future entrepreneurs on Visingsö.
