About the project
In recent years, interest in non-toxic cultivation has increased. Locally grown, non-toxic flowers allow consumers to choose away from air-freighted and heavily sprayed cut flowers that cannot be composted due to the toxins. At Little Slätten's Flowers, there has been a cut flower cultivation and flower shop, but now the company will develop with the help of Leader support.
The project idea is to extend the growing season with the help of greenhouses. There will also be a special space for drying and storing dried flowers. By investing in setting up a local space, the company can organize courses and study circles in the craft, but also create a meeting point for recovery with mindfulness, yoga, and green rehab.

The board's motivation
Little Slätten's flourishing business is an example of conscious and creative rural entrepreneurship. With greenhouses and equipment, the conditions for increased local and ecological production of cut flowers are improved. The operation in Sporda demonstrates a rural entrepreneurship that can serve as a role model for many and structurally change the industry in the long run.
